Warm welcome to the Cellfion team, Erik Chowday!
In the world of sustainable technology, every new member brings unique insights and potential. Erik Chowdary, a final year Master’s student in Industrial Biotechnology Engineering and Production at Linköping University, is a recent addition to Cellfion. With a keen interest in sustainable technology, Erik’s focus on cellulose-based membrane production promises exciting developments for the company.

Erik shared his background and motivations in a recent interview.

"My name is Erik Chowdary," he began. "I’m a final year Master’s student at Linköping University, majoring in Industrial Biotechnology Engineering and Production."

Having previously worked on diverse research projects, Erik found sustainable technology and renewable energy storage particularly captivating. "entering the world of sustainable technology and renewable energy storage was something new and fascinating for me" Erik explained, highlighting his interest in this field.

Erik’s master's project at Cellfion centers on transitioning from lab-scale batch production to continuous production, enabling larger volumes.

Erik's journey to Cellfion began with a chance encounter with the company's innovative work. "Around a year ago, I reached out to Cellfion after learning about their impressive projects" Erik shared. "I was fascinated by their potential to revolutionize renewable energy storage in creating a high-perfoming, PFAS-free membrane."

"Cellfion has come a long way on their journey towards revolutionizing the green energy industry and the company has seen great potential in the product towards several different applications". he said optimistically. As Erik dives into his research, he sees it as a foundation for Cellfion's future endeavors in scaling up production. "I truly believe that my research will lay a solid foundation for the next innovative path that Cellfion can take in their up-scaling process towards future production lines".

For students interested in similar research paths, Erik advises proactive engagement with industry leaders. "Initiate contact and show interest," he suggested. "It could lead to exciting opportunities. I believe that companies like Cellfion, characterized by their innovative spirit and receptiveness to new ideas, provide fertile ground for impactful research collaborations".

As Erik delves into his research at Cellfion, his passion for sustainability and innovation are invaluable. With each step towards transitioning membrane production to a larger scale, Erik is not just contributing to the company's growth but also to the broader mission of advancing sustainable membrane solutions.
