With a Master of Science degree in Energy, Environment, and Management from Linköping University, Sally's professional journey began to take shape during a transformative trainee program at LEAD, a business incubator focused on deep tech startups. It was within this program that Sally first encountered Cellfion, igniting her passion for energy and environmental technology.
"Energy and environmental technology is what I am passionate about, and by working with startup companies I feel like I can influence which new ground-breaking technology comes onto the market" she says.
As a business developer, she plays a vital role in identifying strategic business opportunities across various applications for Cellfion's innovative membranes. Her responsibilities include nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, such as potential and existing partners and customers, while also contributing to the formulation of the company's business strategy within different sectors.
When asked about what motivated her to join the Cellfion team, she states:
"It was Cellfion’s vision, to build a company contributing to a better world. I was also inspired by the drive that the people behind Cellfion had and felt that this was an environment where I would learn and develop a lot."
Looking ahead, Sally envisions a future where sustainable membrane materials play a central role in addressing the growing demand for eco-friendly alternatives across various industries. "The fact that Cellfion can offer membranes that are so versatile, while also contributing to sustainable development, is another contributing factor that motivated me to join the team here. The material we make membranes from, nanocellulose from trees, is, in my opinion, an exciting and resourceful material that makes me curious about what the future has to offer."
